Interesting how one thing you do in life leads to another or has a connection with something you're trying to do. Don Stiver's painting, ARMY of the WEST, is a great depiction of the cavalry competition I competed in for research for the Battle of Puebla 2012 reenactment. Just saw it displayed in a military guest quarters. Take a look if y'all are interested in great art!
